Billy uses AI where it matters — not as a gimmick, but as genuine time-savers that handle the tedious parts of tracking your life.
No over-engineered SPA. Just solid server-rendered views, a real database, and services that do one thing well.
In my daily life, there's always a "Masött" looming around — that's Austrian for "Man sollte noch..." (Someone should really...). People love to plan and suggest solutions, but at the end of the day, that "someone" is usually me. Since my regular days are already packed with complex projects, endless phone calls, and a million moving parts, I wanted to build something small, simple, and straightforward. **Billy** is my way of solving a "solved" problem on my own terms and with my own stack.
It started with a simple mystery: I had no idea where my money went. I love cooking and I train a lot, but then I settled into a happy relationship, discovered what an "early-onset dad bod" looks like, and figured: why not track all of it in one place? It's also the perfect playground to keep my dev muscles from atrophying and to prove that AI can be a serious construction tool, not just a toy.
Why reinvent the wheel? Because sometimes you just want your own set of wheels—complete with specific cupholders, neon lights, and a dashboard that actually makes sense. Plus, I've always preferred building things (and the occasional high-stakes "learning moment" when I break them).
I'm also a pretty approachable guy. If you like this project, have questions, or have some solid advice on surviving a dad bod—get in touch.
This is a private build & learning project. Not a commercial product. Expect rough edges, experimental features, and a raccoon that judges your spending habits.
